Short term vs long term

Yesterday I had a long conversation with a very bright young person … he was trying to convince me to cut the corner and to harvest a quick win on the tech hype related to AI … rationally, I was convinced with his arguments but my intuition was highly alarmed on this action…I was sure this is not a right way forward
